How to Recover After a Holiday!



I had a great time on holiday this year but when I came back home my hair was fairly brittle, my skin super dry and dehydrated and boy, I really needed a full beauty recover. I hope you are enjoying the summer (if you're not in in the UK because what's this weather?) and here are tips I used to feel better after soaking in the sun and living la vida buena:


For Skin: Gentle Exfoliate: The first thing I did was to use an oil based body scrub to remove dead skin and help me apply a deep hydrator like a shower oil. Then, I followed with a thick consistency moisturiser, I love the Lancôme 24hrs hydrator. Avoid very hot showers! Drink water: Sometimes when on holiday we can't keep up with our normal water intake, (Pina coladas don't count!) and when we return we can notice our skin is extra dry. As soon as I am back home, I try to go back to Collagen supplements and drink at least 2-3 litres of water a day. For Hair: Deep Condition: I am a huge fan of in-shower hair treatments because they are quick and efficient. The best type of product to use is a hydrating hair mask or a reconstruction hair mask. Use a shampoo that is specifically designed for damaged hair to start restoring your locks. Avoid heat styling: Heat styling can damage your hair, so it's best to avoid it as much as possible.
