Our favourite products to create your Valentine's look
With Saint V. just around the corner, the Beauty Squad thought we would share our inside tips on how to create the most stunning Valentine's look for your Mr. Right (or Mrs Right!) this year.
DARE TO GO NUDE?
When you think of Valentine's Day, often the colour red is all you can think about. But let's be honest, red lipstick can be a real pain! Lipstick on the glass, constant top-ups, hair getting in it, leaving a lovely little stain on your cheek as the wind blows... we have all been there, so this Valentine's Day we are going nude!
The top of our recommend list is Charlotte Tilbury's 'K.I.S.S.I.N.G' lipstick in shade 'Hepburn Honey'. A beautiful tawny nude shade, understated, yet so sumptuous. We also love 'Confession' but it sells out super quick! It is so creamy and very minimal touch-ups are required. You can build it up or dress it down which is the real beauty about this product.
EYES THAT 'EYLURE'
When it comes to lashes, less is most definitely more. That's why we love Eylure x Rosie Bea glue on lashes fittingly named 'Fling'. These gorgeous lashes will see you through from the early evening right in to the night (until you peel them off - what an amazing feeling that is!)
With a subtle yet striking flick out at the edges these are described as 'day' lashes, but we think they work wonderfully well either way. With a little added mascara these lashes stand out beautifully and to top it off they are super soft!
HOTTING UP
Is it getting hot in here or is it just us? It's Valentine's Day and normally a smokey eye kind of occasion... but we are hotting things up and combining warmer tones to compliment those beautiful nude lips!
Urban Decay's Naked Heat Palette has got you covered. It sees you right through from warm comforts to the dark side... The colours are truly stunning. We would highly recommend experimenting with the colours first! Keep your eyes on our social channels for tutorials and top tips.
STAY ALL NIGHT
Urban Decay, you've done it again! You've stolen our hearts twice in this one blog post. For the our most recommended Setting Spray it has to be 'All Nighter’. It really does what it says on the bottle! Give your beautiful made up face a spritz and you are ready to hit the ground running...

FRIENDS WITH BENEFIT BRONZER
Oh, you bronzed goddess you! Where would we be without the beautiful Hoola Bronzer by Benefit Cosmetics. You don't need layers upon layers, less is more, and a little bit of this bronzer goes a long way. It is perfect for contouring and it sits like a dream to accentuate those gorgeous cheekbones or... create them!
TOP TIP: Apply to your chin, cheeks and forehead!
P.S: Kendall Jenner uses it as eyeshadow...
YOU'RE FLAWLESS GIRL!
Concealer is important, hiding those blemishes that always seem to pop up right before you really don't want them to - under the eyes too for the ultimate fresh look.
For concealer it has to be NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Apart from feeling fantastic when applying, it will give you the right amount of coverage and stay put for the night! It's hard to get the right balance with a concealer but NARS really have produced a beautiful product.
TOP TIP: Go for a lighter shade for that fresh look we mentioned.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT
TOP TIP: Please, do not use too much highlight! You can achieve a beautiful highlight with the right product and one good swoop... honestly.
Also, always shop for your skin tone. Often people mistake highlighter with a one size fits all vibe! The 'KILLAWATT' highlighter by Fenty Beauty was sent from the heavens to grace our faces with the subtlest yet effective highlighter ever! It comes in a range of aluminising solo and duo shades.
For killer radiance, swoop this across your face, eyes, lips and collarbone... literally anywhere you crave a touch of highlight!
OH SO SENSUAL!
We are going to jump right in here and say it is one of our favourite products at the moment! A foundation that must be made of gold. Suitably named also for this loving time of the year! The Sensual Skin Enhancer by Kevyn Aucoin is sure to get your pulse racing.
This foundation feels ‘oh so light’ on your skin but hides a multitude of sins. Getting the right foundation for you can be tricky but this one is a game changer.
